Apostle Sedrick & Pastor Angela Davis “The City of Life Ministries” Email: [email protected] 1 Heart Resuscitation The NUMBER ONE reason that the body of Christ is not seeing the manifestation of the word of God in their lives is because in their hearts, they do not have the ingredients that God is looking for. What do you think is the MOST important thing in your life that God is looking for? • 2Chronicles 16:9a-9For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of THEM WHOSE HEART IS PERFECT toward him. When asked, what is the MOST important thing that we should know about God, Jesus said: • Matthew 22:36-38-36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.38This is the first and great commandment. Let's look at a few scriptures to see what God thinks about our heart. • 1Peter 3:4-4But LET IT BE THE HIDDEN MAN OF THE HEART, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, WHICH IS IN THE SIGHT OF GOD OF GREAT PRICE. • Romans 6:17-17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but YE HAVE OBEYED FROM THE HEART that form of doctrine which was delivered you. • Romans 10:10a-10For with the heart man believeth UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS; • Luke 6:45-45A good man OUT OF THE GOOD TREASURE OF HIS HEART BRINGETH FORTH that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. • 1Chronicles 28:9-9And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for THE LORD SEARCHETH ALL HEARTS, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: Why do you think God places so much emphasis on the heart? • Jeremiah 17:9-9The HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Who is the author of deceit? • Revelation 12:9-9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD: What is the true reason for Satan attempting to deceive our heart? Why does he purposely attack the heart? • Luke 8:12-12Those by the way side are they that hear; THEN COMETH THE DEVIL, AND TAKETH AWAY THE WORD OUT OF THEIR HEARTS, lest they should believe and be saved. • Hebrews 3:10-10Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, THEY DO ALWAYS ERR IN THEIR HEART; AND THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN MY WAYS. But God has his own version of CPR for all those who experience ignorance, disobedience, rebellion, frustration and other unwanted behavior patterns. • Isaiah 57:15-15For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, TO REVIVE (Resuscitate) THE SPIRIT OF THE HUMBLE, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. To REVIVE is to ‘restore to life or consciousness.’ Resuscitation means the act of reviving a person and returning them to consciousness What is the purpose for resuscitation? When someone suffers sudden cardiac or respiratory arrest, CPR attempts to RESTART THEIR HEART or breathing and restore their circulation. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) consists of mouth-to-mouth respiration and chest (heart) compression. • Numbers 12:8-6And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. 8With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: • Exodus 33:11-11And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. There was something in Moses’ heart that God seen that we must grab hold too! • Numbers 12:3-3Now the man Moses was VERY MEEK (humble), above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.
