III\. **OBSERVATIONS** **A. Describe their type of plans used in business activity they have and identify and explain the key elements of planning they used. ** **TYPES OF PLANS UTILIZED** *a. Strategic Plans* - Diversifying the religious items they sell. For candles, they innovated them to become smokeless and scented unlike the typical candle. Additionally, a variety of figurines of Christian characters (e.g. Jesus, Mother Mary, Sto. Nino) were sold in their establishment. - Providing Excellent Customer Service to their customers and a personalized shopping experience, to rake in good reviews on their enterprise. - They put emphasis on product quality and customer trust. *b. Tactical Plans* - Having a good product display and merchandising. They arrange the religious items they sell in a way that appeals to customers, such as placing in-demand candles or popular figurines in certain locations within their establishment. - Training employees to give respectful attitude and service to their customers, assisting them with product inquiries, as well as offering good recommendations. *c. Operational Plans* - Management of Daily Inventory. They make sure that the items they are selling such as candles, rosaries, and religious figurines are well-stocked. To avoid shortages or overstocking, they perform regular inventory check-ups and update stock levels. - They create an "acquiring of relevant resources schedule" in which it is based on their sales pattern and upcoming religious events (e.g. All Souls Day, Christmas). *d. Contingency Plans* - They prioritize producing the key products of their business in case there is an unexpected situation. - They install surveillance cameras within and around their facility to protect their business from theft. **KEY ELEMENTS OF THEIR PLANNING** *a. Production Planning* - Droser Marketing focuses on ensuring timely production and product availability. Based on customer demand and religious holidays (such as Christmas, All Souls Day), they set a product manufacturing schedule, and they procure the raw materials necessary in making their products such as the wax & wicks for the candles, and wood for the religious figurines. They then allocate their labor and equipment in different stations to ensure the production meets the demand without delays. Afterwards, they conduct quality check to make sure that the products manufactured are not defective or less in quality. *b. Sales Targets* - Based on seasonal demand such as during peak religious seasons (e.g. Holy Week, Easter), they set higher priority targets on their products that are expected to sell more in those seasons. This is because their business would earn more capital as they sold those religious items, achieving their organizational goals in the process - They identify and separate items that are high in demand. In their business, candles are almost sold out immediately so they display more candles in their establishment than their religious figurines *c. Inventory Management* - As for managing their inventory, they gather data of their sales to predict customer needs, to maintain the stocks they have. - Once they have determined they are out of stocks, they establish reorder points for popular items to ensure timely restocking from their suppliers. - They avoid excess inventory to lessen the costs for storage while ensuring to have sufficient supply, as well as they monitor inventory as closely as possible to avoid running out of in-demand religious items such as candles or some popular holy figurines **B.** **How did they establish the significance of their goals and objectives in their plans? ** **Goals and Objectives ** *a.
