Google Classroom has two practical assessments for the musical theatre. One titled “Practical Individual Assessment” and one titled “Practical Group Assessment”. The individual performance is for individuals to learn and perform if they suddenly fall ill, do not attend group rehearsals or have been asked to leave a group. This way the learner can still get a practical assessment mark - you may not opt or decide to do the individual task, your teacher is the only deciding factor on this. Both of these documents can be found on Google Classroom under Term 4 syllabus. 2. If you are absent on the day of the assessment, you must email your drama teacher and let him/her know. In line with the school policy, you will email your doctor’s certificate and you will perform your task after school on the day you return to school. Failure to do so will result in 0 for your practical task. 3. We are not responsible for ensuring you have performed your assessment, see point 2 for clarity. It’s well time that you showed up as the responsible young person you want us to see you as. PRACTICAL TASK TIPS Remember that teamwork is only possible with good communication! How to keep group work efficient, we implore you to do the following: 1. Make sure you have read the practical task completely and understand. 2. Create a rehearsal schedule and stick to it! Template of a rehearsal schedule can be found here. 3. Assign roles within the group so everyone is clear on what is expected of them. See theatre roles document here. 4. Use the three strike rule - if someone misses rehearsal more than three times, they are out of the group. The group needs to be in contact with your class teacher to inform them of group members that aren’t pulling their weight. You may not ask a member of the group to leave without consulting your teacher first - you may not exclude anyone from the group the day of or week before your assessment. Keep a detailed record of who has and has not attended rehearsals. ·o2· Theatre Roles Play your part! THEATRE ROLES EXPLAINED Everyone must have a theatre role!
