It is located between Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. - It is the source of the White Nile. - The equator passes through it. - Lake Nasser is a man-made lake located on the Nile River, between Egypt and Sudan. - The Nile is the world's longest river and the lifeline of Egypt. - White Nile and Blue Nile meet at Khartoum (Sudan) and form the Nile River. - The Blue Nile rises in Lake Tana in Ethiopia. - The Congo River crosses the equator twice. - The Niger River has its port at Harcourt in the Niger Delta. - The Zambezi River has the Victoria Falls, one of the world’s largest waterfalls. - It acts as a natural boundary between Zambia and Zimbabwe. - The Orange River acts as a natural boundary between South Africa and Namibia. - The Limpopo River crosses the Tropic of Capricorn twice. It separates South Africa from Botswana and Zimbabwe. - Mount Kibo is the highest elevation in Africa and it is located in Tanzania. - There are three points where Africa almost touches Eurasia: Gibraltar, Suez, and Bab-el-Mandab. - The highest temperature ever recorded in the world was in al-'Aziziyah (Libya), which was 58 degrees Celsius. - Swahili is a prominent language spoken in Africa.
