CSC The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is a tribunal decides if people in prison can be safely released from prions early. They look at each offender’s case to see if they are ready to return to the community without causing harm. PBC’s main goal is to keep the public safe while helping offenders become law-abiding citizens. CSC & PBC are both federal agencies within the Government of Canada's Public Safety portfolio. We’ll examine the roles of both organizations and learn about career opportunities with CSC. Victim Rights: Provides victims with the opportunity to express their views on the offender's release through victim impact statements. Consideration of Impact: Considers the potential impact of the release on victims and communities when making decisions. Collaboration with Other Agencies Partnerships: Works closely with Correctional Service Canada (CSC), law enforcement, and community organizations to facilitate a coordinated approach to offender management, E.g., breach of parole, intelligence sharing Information Sharing: Shares information with relevant stakeholders to enhance public safety and support successful reintegration.
