Lily was at the Childcare Centre. - The busy afternoon crew included Street Cleaners, Landscape Workers, and Food Delivery people. - Jonas was frightened - Jonas was **released**, which was a terrible punishment. Jonas was with Fiona. - Jonas convinced Fiona to get into the tub of water at the **House of the Old**. - Jonas wanted to bathe Fiona. Jonas was to Fiona's left. - Pierre was 20 (1120). Jonas didn't like Pierre very much. Jonas **thought of asking citizens intimate questions**. 8. Jonas was unnerving to others. 9. Jonas couldn’t discuss his training with anyone, including parents and Elders. 10. Jonas was prohibited from **dream-telling**. 11. This wasn't really a problem as Jonas rarely dreamed. 12. Jonas was glad to be excused. 13. There was the question of how to handle a request to eat during morning meal, if it wasn't related to training. 14. Jonas would have to **lie**. 15. Jonas crushed his finger on the door. 16. His mother hastily requested a **relief of pain medication**. 17. The pain was excruciating but it diminished to a throb. 18. Jonas was able to take the **medication** if it wasn't related to training. 19. Jonas was not permitted to apply for release. 20. Jonas believed that would never happen to him under any circumstances. 21. Jonas was allowed to lie. 22. Jonas had been trained to **never lie** since his earliest learning of language. 23. This was an **integral part** of the training. 24. Jonas started crying when he was four years old. 25. He had **private lessons** in language precision. 26. The precision of language was to make sure that unintentional lies were never uttered. 27. This was to understand intelligence. 28. Jonas wondered if other Twelves also had his same **terrifying sentences**. 29. Jonas could rudely ask adults "Do you **lie**?". 30.
