REVIEWER IN DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATION **Chapter 1: Societal Problems** **Third World Legacy -** the problems of the previous generations are still the same problems faced by the present generation. **Cold War Era** - happened between the years 1947-1951. United States vs. Soviet Union. **First world** - this term referred to countries aligned with the Western bloc, led by the United States and its NATO allies. - **Second World** - referred to countries aligned with the Eastern bloc, led by the Soviet Union.
