Worked as a professor of health and sciences at Abo Akademi University in Vaasa and finished her postgraduate studies leading to doctoral degree in Health Sciences Caritative Theory • • • • A model of nursing which distinguishes between caring ethics, the practical relationship between the patient and the nurse, and nursing ethics. Nursing ethics are the ethical principles that guide a nurse’s decision-making abilities. Caritative caring consist of love and charity, which is also known as caritas and respect and reverence for human holiness and dignity According to the theory, suffering that occurs as a result of caritative care is a violation of human dignity Assumptions of Caritative Care Theory 1. The human being: Patient and caregiver/Nurse 2. Suffering and health 3. The Caritas Motive- The ethics of caring 4.
