8 CHRIST: HIS ASCENSION AND EXALTATION What's the difference between Christ's ascension and His exaltation? Theascension was the event in which Christ departed from His disciples into heaven. The exaltation is the act whereby the risen and ascended Christ is given a place of power and honor at the Father's right hand. CHRIST'S ASCENSION What do the Scriptures say about the ascension? Look up the following passages and place them beside the correct event: Mark 16:19 John 20:17 Luke 24:50-51 Acts 7:55-56 John 6:61-62 1Timothy 3:16 John 16:10 1Peter 3:22 1.
