This application is valid for Selection Trial of AGNIVEERVAYU (SPORTS) INTAKE 01/2025 only. 3. ONLINE REGISTRATION shall commence at 1000h on 20 August 2024 and will close at 1700h on 29 August 2024. Only ONLINE registered applications shall be accepted. For registration log on to https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in/casbspm. Note: Candidates are advised to register at the earliest opportunity as no extension of registration dates will be accommodated. (THIS SELECTION TEST IS NOT FOR SELECTION AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS/ PILOTS / NAVIGATORS/ AIRMEN) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 4. Age. (a) Date of Birth Block. Candidate born between 02 January 2004 to 02 July 2007 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply. (b) In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection trial, then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 21 years. 5. Marital Status. Only unmarried male candidates will be eligible for enrolment as Agniveervayu (Sports) and they shall undertake not to marry during the defined engagement period of four years. Keeping in view limited period of engagement of Agniveervayu (Sports) inclusive of training, skill development activities, practical as well as formative assessment and organisational requirement of continued service of Agniveervayu (Sports) during the engagement period, longer absence of Agniveervayu (Sports) during the engagement period will adversely affect the operational efficiency of the Indian Air Force. Agniveervayu (Sports) who marry during the said period shall be discharged from the service. Further, only unmarried Agniveervayu (Sports) will be eligible for selection in regular cadre as Airman. 6. Educational Qualification (a) Science Subjects Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course). OR Passed Two years Vocational course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from an Education Board recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in vocational course). (b) Other than Science Subjects Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed two years vocational course from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course). Note - 1: Candidates eligible for Science Subjects examination (Including Intermediate/ 10+2/three years diploma course in engineering or two years vocational course with non-vocational subjects of Physics and Maths) are also eligible for Other than Science Subjects. Note - 2: Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT as on date of registration shall only be considered. Note - 3: Exact aggregate Percentage of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination/Three years Diploma Course/Two years Vocational Course OR calculated as per the rules of concerned Education Board / Polytechnic Institute shall only be considered (For example 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not to be rounded off to 50%). 7. SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS (a) Individual should have represented the country in Junior/Senior International competitions recognized by International Olympics committee (IOA) in any of the sports disciplines mentioned at Para 1. (b) Individual should have attained the minimum standard of fifth place in the Junior National competitions, represented the State/Union Territory in Senior National competitions conducted by respective Sports Federations or All India Inter University competitions or SAI (Khelo India National) in any of the sports disciplines mentioned at Para 1. (c) In team events, the individual should have represented state in Junior/ Senior National competitions conducted by respective Sports Federations or All India Inter University Championship or SAI (Khelo India National) in any of the sports disciplines mentioned at Para 1. (d) For Cricket Discipline Only. Candidates who have played All India Inter- University or BCCI Trophies – U-19, U-23, Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Deodhar Trophy or higher participation are only eligible to apply. (e) For Shooting Discipline Only: Candidates who have attained the National Ranking (NSCC) up to 50th in 10M Air Pistol & 10 M Air Rifle and up to 30th rank in 50M Rifle 3P OR should have International Medal/ Participation. Note: Sports certificates issued by federations/Association approved by Indian Olympic Association (IOA)/ Khelo India National (SAI)/ Association of Indian University OR certificate issued by University for participation in All India Inter University competitions shall only be considered. The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials. IOA recognized federations can be ascertained from official website of IOA (https://olympic.ind.in). 8. Mandatory Medical Standards. General medical standards to become an Agniveervayu (Sports) male candidates are as follows:- (a) Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm. (b) Weight: Weight should be Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF. (c) Chest: The chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed. Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cms and the chest expansion should be at least 05 cms. (d) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately. (e) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. (f) Visual Standards: Visual Acuity Maximum limits of Refractive error Colour vision 6/12 each eye, Hypermetropia: +2.0 D Correctable to 6/6 each eye Myopia: -1 D CP-II Including + 0.50 D Astigmatism (g) Candidates with history of LASIK/PRK will not be accepted. Note: Candidates should bring latest prescription (not older than 01 month) and spectacle for corrected vision, if used. The prescription must bear the diopter measurement, name, signature, stamp and registration number of Ophthalmologist. Date of prescription should be within a month prior to appearing for medical examination. (h) General Health: Candidate should be fit for the Air Force, must conform to the medical standards and should be of normal anatomy without loss or deformity of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection and skin ailments. Candidates shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain. (j) Gender: Any candidate if found to have predominant characteristics of the opposite gender as evident on external physical examination, will be rejected as Unfit. Any candidate having undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared Unfit. (k) Details of medical standards are available on CASB web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in. 9. Consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS). Consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances banned under the NDPS Act 1985 shall be rejection criteria for selection into the IAF. AGNIVEERVAYU found either in possession or storing or distributing or consuming such drugs and substances after enrolment shall be liable for disciplinary action including dismissal from the IAF. ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY TO ALCOHOLISM AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE IS FOLLOWED IN IAF. 10. Body Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted. However, tattoos only on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist), back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of the palm and Tribals with tattoo which are as per the custom and traditions of their tribes may be considered. Offensive, obscene, indecent, sexist or racist tattoos are prohibited regardless of location on the body. However, right to consider a tattoo acceptable or unacceptable will rest with the selection centre. Candidate with permanent body tattoos are to submit two Postcard size of photographs (close up and distant view) with details of size and type of the Tattoo during the recruitment trials. 11. Only Sikh candidates, whose religion prohibits cutting of hair or shaving of face, shall be permitted to grow hair and/or retain beard and moustache. Accordingly, those Sikh candidates willing to retain the same as per laid down specification are to get their photographs with beard and moustache. 12. Candidates discharged from Indian Army / Indian Navy / any other Government Organisation shall also be eligible subject to their discharge with NO ADVERSE ENTRIES. Such candidate has to declare at the Selection Trials venue that he is an Ex-employee of the Organisation discharged from and produce original Discharge Certificate. In case of serving individuals, they must be in possession of NOC from their employer at the time of Selection Trial. If any candidate does not disclose the fact of being employed or that of being an Ex-employee, his candidature shall be cancelled at any stage during the selection process and if selected shall be liable for discharge/dismissal for hiding the fact of his employment and discharge/dismissal from service. Candidates discharged from Indian Air Force for any reason are not eligible to appear in the selection trials. 13. Candidates found under the influence of performance enhancing drugs/substance abuse (Dope) while participating in selection trials or any time before the date of enrolment, shall be disqualified immediately and even if caught in dope or under influence of prohibited performance enhancing drugs during the training in the training centre their candidature will be cancelled. 14. Candidates should be prepared to stay for the entire duration of the selection trials and medical examination in Delhi/place mentioned in call letter for which they have to make their own arrangement. 15. However, in case of non-availability of sports infrastructure of a particular sport in Delhi, Air Force Sports Control Board (AFSCB) reserves the right to hold trials outside Delhi. Intimation/call letters would be sent accordingly. 16. Candidates not reporting for the trial on due date and time shall not be accommodated on other dates/shifts. 17. Documents Required. Candidates are to bring the following:- (a) Ten copies of un-attested recent (taken not more than one month before, from the date of publishing of the advertisement notification) passport size colour photographs (front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his Name and Date of Photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters. (b) Original and four self-attested copies of Matriculation Passing Certificate (required for Name, Date of Birth and father’s name verification). (c) Original and four self-attested photocopies of matriculation mark sheet (only applicable for three years Diploma course holders when English is not a subject in Diploma course). (d) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent Examination Passing Certificate and Marks Sheet. OR Original and four self-attested photocopies of three years Diploma Course passing certificate and mark sheets of all semesters. OR Original and four self-attested photocopies of two year vocational course passing certificate and mark sheets including Non Vocational course with subject English, Physics and Mathematics. (e) Original and four photocopies of Certificates of Sports Achievements. (f) Character Certificate (in Original). (g) Candidates serving/ discharged from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Any other Government Organisation. (i) Original and four Self-attested photocopies of Discharge Certificate (as issued from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Government Organisation) subject to no adverse entry in discharge certificate. (ii) NOC in original and four self-attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organization (if applicable). (h) NO RISK CERTIFICATE, BODY TATTOO CERTIFICATE AND CONSENT/ UNDERTAKING FORM FOR PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST AND MEDICAL TEST Candidates shall bring the signed No Risk Certificate, Body Tattoo Certificate and Consent/Undertaking form for Physical Fitness Test and Medical Test (as attached to this advertisement) to the Selection Trials Venue (Tejas Camp, Air Force Station New Delhi, Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi) and submit it before the Physical Fitness Test. No Risk Certificate is to be signed by candidate and countersigned by parent/guardian. Candidates with permanent body tattoos must bring two postcard size photographs each (close up and distant view) with details of size and type of tattoo. Candidates below 18 years of age shall get the Consent Form filled and signed by their parent/guardian. The candidates of 18 years of age or above are to sign the Undertaking form themselves. (j) Sports Kit. Note. Under no circumstances shall the candidates be permitted to appear in the Trials without Original Educational Marks Sheets/Passing Certificates & Documents mentioned above in paragraph 17 (b) to (h). However, candidates with photocopies of Educational Marks Sheets/Passing Certificates may be permitted to appear in the Trials only on production of an ink signed certificate in original from College/School Principal certifying that Educational Certificates/Marks sheets are deposited with College/School. TERMS AND CONDITIONS 18. Agniveervayu (Sports) will be enrolled in the Indian Air Force under Air Force Act 1950, for a period of FOUR years. Agniveervayu (Sports) would form a distinct rank in the Indian Air Force, different from any other existing ranks. The Indian Air Force is not obliged to retain Agniveervayu (Sports) beyond the engagement period of four years. 19. On completion of four years of service, based on organisation’s requirements and policies promulgated by the Indian Air Force, Agniveervayu (Sports) will be offered an opportunity to apply for enrolment in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force as Airmen. These applications will be considered in a centralised manner based on objective criteria, including performance during their four-year engagement period and up to 25% of each specific batch of Agniveervayu will be enrolled in regular cadre of IAF. Agniveervayu (Sports) will not have any right to be selected for further enrolment into the Indian Air Force. Selection of the Agniveervayu (Sports) for further enrolment, if any, shall be at the discretion of the Government of India. 20. Employability. Agniveervayu (Sports) enrolled under this entry are liable to be assigned any duty in organisational interest at the discretion of the Indian Air Force. 21. Training. On being enrolled, Agniveervayu (Sports) will be imparted military training based on Indian Air Force requirements. 22. Leave. Grant of leave will be subject to exigencies of the Indian Air Force. The following leave is applicable for Agniveervayu (Sports) during their engagement period: - (a) Annual Leave. 30 days per year. (b) Sick Leave. Based on medical advice. 23. Medical and CSD Facilities. For the duration of their engagement period in the Indian Air Force, Agniveervayu (Sports) will be entitled for medical facility at Service Hospitals as well as CSD provisions. 24. Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits. Agniveervayu (Sports) enrolled under this Scheme will be paid an Agniveer package of Rs. 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules. 25. Terminal Benefits - Seva Nidhi Package. Agniveervayu (Sports) will be given one time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package comprising their monthly contribution along with matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below: - Customised Contribution to Contribution to In Hand Year Package Agniveers Corpus Corpus fund by (70%) (Monthly) Fund (30%) GoI All Figures in Rs. Note 2: There shall be no entitlement to gratuity and any kind of pensionary benefits. 26. Insurance, Death and Disability Compensation. Agniveervayu (Sports) will be provided non-contributory Life Insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs for the duration of their engagement period as Agniveervayu (Sports) in the Indian Air Force. Agniveervayu (Sports) will not be governed by provisions contained in the Pension Regulations/Rules for Indian Air Force. For details of Death/Disability compensation log on to https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in. 27. ‘Agniveer Skill Certificate’. At the end of engagement period, a detailed Skill-Set certificate will be provided to the Agniveervayu (Sports), highlighting the skills and level of competency acquired by the personnel during their engagement period. 28. ‘Not Entitled to the ESM Status’. Personnel enrolled under this Scheme will not be eligible for Ex-Servicemen status after their discharge from the Service on completion of four years engagement period. 29. Agniveervayu will not be permitted to appear in any examination for commissioning in Army/Navy/IAF during the engagement period of four years unless he has applied for said exam before getting enrolled. 30. Release at own request prior to completion of engagement period will not be permissible for Agniveervayu. However, in exceptional cases, personnel enrolled as Agniveervayu may be released, with approval of the Competent Authority. SEQUENCE OF EXAMINATION 31. Following sequence of examination will be followed during the selection trials. Sl Date Activity No Assembly at outside Exit Gate, Air Force Station New Delhi as per the 1stday time mentioned in Admit Cards of candidate disseminated for Physical (a) (18 Sep 24) Fitness Test which will be conducted at Tejas Camp, Air Force Station New Delhi, Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi – 110003. 2nd day Sports Specific Trials in the respective sports discipline for candidates who (b) (19 Sep 24) have cleared Document Verification & Physical Fitness Test. 3rd day Sports Specific Trials for the candidates who are shortlisted during (c) (20 Sep 24) previous day trial. 4th day (d) Documentation for Medical examination at 2 ASC. (23 Sep 24) 5th day (e) Medical Examination of the Recommended candidates. (24 Sep 24) SELECTION PROCEDURE 32. Verification of Eligibility. Candidate should be in possession of the documents mentioned at Para 17 (b) to (h) and other required applicable original documents like Aadhaar Card, Discharge Certificate (if discharged from Army/Navy/Government organisation), No Risk Certificate, Body Tattoo Certificate, Consent Form (signed by parents if candidate below 18 years of age) and passport size colour photographs shall be required and scrutinised/verified at the Selection Trials venue prior to commencement of Physical Fitness Test to ascertain the eligibility prima-facie. Detailed verification will be carried out later in respect of candidates who pass Physical Fitness Test and subsequently Sports Specific Selection Trials. Candidature of those who do not meet the laid down Educational criteria shall be rejected during Initial verification of original certificates & mark-sheets prior to conduct of Physical Fitness Test during detailed verification on clearing the Physical Fitness Test, Sports Specific Selection Trials, during any stage of selection and even after enrolment. Note: The original Passing Certificates/ Marks Sheets etc. will not be retained by the Selection Centre. The same will be returned to the candidates on completion of detailed verification. Internet copy of mark-sheet not acceptable. 33. Selection Trials shall be conducted in the following phases: (a) Physical Fitness Test (PFT). PFT consists of 1.6 Km run which is to be completed within 07 minutes. Candidates shall also have to complete 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit- ups and 20 Squats within the stipulated time as per the following to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test. Maximum Test Remarks time period Test will be conducted after 10 minutes break on 10 Push Ups 01 Minute completion of running Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on 10 Sit Ups 01 Minute completion of Push Ups Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on 20 Squats 01 Minute completion of Sit Ups. Note: Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts/track pants. (b) Sports Skill Trials (i) Only PFT pass candidates would be called for sports skill trials. (ii) Sports Skill trials will be conducted for the Sports applied at venues decided by AFSCB in Delhi-NCR. 34. Medical Examination. Recommended Candidates after selection trials will undergo Medical Examination. Medical Examination shall be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards and existing policy in vogue. Medical Examination would also include Baseline Investigation of: - (a) Blood Haemogram - Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelets (b) Urine RE/ME (c) Biochemistry (i) Blood Sugar Fasting and Post Prandial (ii) Serum Cholesterol (iii) RFT- Serum Urea, Uric acid, Creatinine (iv) LFT- Serum Bilurubin, SGOT, SGPT (d) Radiograph Chest (PA view) (e) ECG (R) (f) Any other investigation deemed necessary by the Recruiting Medical Officer 35. Candidates declared medically unfit can avail the option for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) against their unfitness by depositing Rs.40/- in a Government Treasury/RBI/SBI through Electronic Military Receivable Order (e-MRO)/Military Receivable Order (MRO). The application for AMB along with original copy of e-MRO/MRO, photocopy of unfitness certificate are to be submitted to the representative of 2 ASC, AF within three working days of medical examination. 36. The Recruitment Medical Officers and specialist doctors of Armed forces are the final authorities on declaring a candidate Fit or Unfit during initial Medical examination, Appeal Medical Board and medical examination prior to enrolment. 37. The candidates shall be governed by Armed Forces standards which may be at variance from civil standards. There is no provision for representation or review after the Appeal Medical Board. Note-1: Candidates are advised to get tartar & stains removed from their teeth before appearing for the medical examination. Ears should be free of wax. Candidates should be prepared to stay for the medical examination for four to five days under their own arrangement. No TA/DA shall be admissible. Note-2: Passing in the medical examination is not a guarantee for employment in the Indian Air Force. Note-3: Request for change of Medical Examination Centre and date of Medical Examination shall not be entertained. HOW TO APPLY 38. (b) Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent mark sheet and passing certificate. OR 3 Yrs Engineering Diploma Final Year Mark sheet (if applying on the basis of 3 Yrs Engineering Diploma from a Govt. recognised polytechnic in prescribed stream) and Intermediate/Matriculation mark sheet (if English is not a subject in Diploma Course). OR 2 Yrs Vocational Course mark sheets of non-vocational course with subjects English, Physics and Mathematics and Intermediate/Matriculation mark sheet (if English is not a subject in Vocational Course). (c) Passport size recent colour photograph (taken not before three months from date of registration) of size 10 KB to 50 KB (front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters. Change in appearance like growing beard, head gear etc., in comparison to the photograph may result in cancellation of candidature. (d) Candidate’s left hand thumb impression image (Size 10 KB to 50 KB). (e) Candidate’s signature image (Size 10 KB to 50 KB). (f) Sports Achievement Certificates: Certificates (maximum 05 certificates) issued for achievement only in Sports/Events as per published advertisement for current Intake. 40. Registration Fee: Registration fee of Rs. 100/- (plus taxes as applicable) is to be paid by the candidate for the online registration. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/Internet Banking through payment gateway. 41. Candidate must have his active E-mail ID and Mobile No. for successful online registration. 42. Candidate should enter AADHAAR number in on-line application. Candidates from J&K, Ladakh, Assam and Meghalaya are exempted for the same, if not having AADHAAR card. GENERAL 43. General instructions for candidates are as follows: - (a) Duplicate/ Incomplete/ erroneously filled applications shall be rejected.
