Audio-Video and Lightning controls Prepared by: Engr. Jefferson Remudaro Audio-Video Control Audio-Video Controls – refers to a system or equipment that manage the media, playback, recording and transmission of audio and video content in various settings. AV controls are often operated via remote controls, touch panels, or apps, and modern systems may include features like voice commands and automation routines. Audio refers to sound that is captured, processed, or reproduced. It can include speech, music, environmental sounds, or any other form of auditory information. Video refers to a sequence of images displayed rapidly in succession to create the illusion of motion, often accompanied by synchronized audio. Audio-Video Control Audio-Video often work together to create a comprehensive experience. Movies: Combine moving images (video) with soundtracks, dialogue, and sound effects (audio). Video games: Integrate immersive visuals with dynamic soundscapes. Live streaming: Synchronous transmission of both sound and visuals. Audio-Video Control Audio-Video Controls – commonly used in; Broadcasting – delay control helps synchronize audio and video feeds and manage latency, it is important for live TV broadcast. Time synchronization, system control and software switches. Smart homes – integrate audio-video with home automation for home or app based controls (IoT). Event Spaces – manage live sound system for concerts, meetings or performances. Conference room – Control microphone, speakers and conferencing equipment. Home theater – adjust volume, balance sound across speaker and control displays. They offer control over brightness, color temperature, and patterns of lighting and can be integrated with other systems like AV controls for a seamless experience. Automated lightning – Use motion sensors or timers to turn lights on/off based on occupancy or time of day. Smart lightning – App-based or voice-activated systems to control lighting remotely (e.g., via, Google Assistant, or a smartphone). Manual Lightning – Dimmers, switches, and knobs that allow for on-demand adjustment. Lightning Controls Integrated AV and Lightning Controls – is systems often combine AV and lighting controls into a single interface for efficiency and convenience.. Smart home system – Control both AV and lighting from one app or control panel. Create "scenes" where lighting and AV settings adjust together (ex. "Movie Mode" dims the lights). Commercial system – Conference rooms where one touch can lower lights, activate a projector, and start a video call.
