ASSIGNMENT 1 I chose 5 goals, which are as follows: GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, THEN INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE, SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES, ZERO HUNGER, THEN CLIMATE ACTION. ▪ Firstly, Engineering can build many hospitals and health care facilities, and also reduce and limit the risk of factories producing fumes that cause environmental damage. ▪ Secondly, Engineering provides the infrastructure necessary for a city to function. Sustainable architecture includes all phases of construction, including planning, construction and restructuring. ▪ Thirdly, Engineering serves sustainable cities and communities by creating environmental models that use land efficiently with the least amount of pollution and toxic materials possible. ▪ Fourthly, Engineering is involved in the manufacture of all types of food, then its packaging, transportation and working to speed up its delivery to the consumer, which contributes to limiting and reducing the spread of hunger. ▪ Finally, Climate engineering is the deliberate, large-scale intervention in the Earth's climate system to counteract climate change. It includes techniques to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and techniques to rapidly cool the Earth by reflecting solar energy back into space.
