Select one Literary author from any culture, country or time period, as long as the author was active prior to 1950. (Anyone who is considered as a Literary Great can be your subject, except William Shakespeare) 2. Read about the life and works of your selected author. 3. Create a 1-page or 2-page summary of the author's life and works. Include the following: * indicate type of writing done (poetry, novel, drama, etc) * where and when the writer lived, published * language used by the author in writing * top 5 most popular works with very brief description * greatest contribution to literature: ideas, style, use of language(what did they popularize?)  5.
