THE 3 COMPONENTS OF ART - SUBJECT - can be a person, an object, a theme, or an idea. Answer the question "WHAT" - REPRESENTATION - clearly recognized objects or theme. - ABSTRACT - lacks clear representation. - NARRATIVE - tells story or coveys message. - SYMBOLIC - represent idea or concepts. - FORM - the total overall arrangement or organization of an artwork COMPOSITION. Answer the question "HOW" - DYNAMIC - suggest movement or change. - BALANCED - achieve visual harmony through symmetrical or asymmetrical arrangement. - TEXTURED - incorporates various surface and details that affect visual perception. - COLORFUL - vibrant palette to evoke emotions or highlight elements. - CONTENT - a statement, expression, or mood developed by the artist and interpreted by the observer. - EMOTIONAL - express feeling or emotions in the viewer. - INTELLECTUAL - engage the mind with complex ideas or theme. - PERSONAL - reflects the artist own experience thoughts, or feelings. - CULTURAL - reflect societal values, beliefs, or historical contexts.
