Concerns? CURRENT CLINICAL TRIAL AT CCNM EASe-GAD: Eating And Supplementation for Generalized Anxiety Disorder BACKGROUND Mental illness is common Medication and psychotherapy: many benefit, but many do not (access, side effects, inadequate relief, hesitancy) Observational data: better quality diet → better mental health (causative??) Possible Mechanisms: omega-3/6 balance, adequate vitamins/minerals, adequate protein for NT synthesis, healthy blood sugar regulation Adults Moderate to severe depression Low baseline diet quality Randomization Control: Social support Intervention: personalized dietary advice, MI, Mindfulness, MED diet TRIAL DESIGN Pilot study Randomized, wait-list controlled study Primary Objectives: Assess feasibility and acceptability of this intervention in this population Secondary Objectives: look for signal of change in additional outcomes PARTICIPANTS Adults (18-65yoa), identify as women Diagnosis of GAD (mod to severe) Medication/supplements stable for 4+ weeks Baseline Omega Score
