ST 42àSpleen 1 Key Crossing Points: LI 20, Du 14, Du 24, Du 26, Ren 24, Ren 12 and 13 Standout Point functions and Locations: 1-4 (Face and Head in general): In general, points on face/head all expel wind, clear heat, benefit whatever sense organ they are close to (i.e. St 1 benefits eyes) 5-7: Around jaw so good for TMJ issues 8:.5 cun in hairline, 4.5 cun lateral to Du 24. Order of points medial to lateral : Du 24….UB 3….UB4…..GB 15…..GB 13……ST 8 9: Window of heaven point……Level with laryngeal protuberance……..St 9……LI 18…….SI 16 (Anterior to posterior starting with ST 9) 12: In supraclavicular fossa; 4 cun lateral to midline 17: On nipple; 4th ICS St18 is last point in rib spaces. St 19 is on abdomen and is 2 cun lateral to midline 25: 2 cun lateral to umbilicus; Front mu of LI; abdominal pain, distension, borborygmus, constipation, diarrhea; Points that line up from medial to Lateral: Ren 8àKidney 16(.5 cun)àST 25àSpleen 15 (4 cun)àGB 26(in line with free end of 11th rib) 29:Really good for COLD related menstrual pain; pain better with heat pad 30:Just above pubic bone, 2 cun lateral to midline; Subdues running piglet qi, Regulate chong (penetrating vessel) 34: 2 cun above lateral patella; xi cleft point(Pain, moderate acute conditions); Only xi cleft above he-sea point 35: in knee joint 36: 3 cun down from knee crease; 3 mile leg point(good for keeping up strength if on long walk), tonifies right qi and original qi, revives yang, restores conscious, tonify spleen and stomach, prevent disease by tonify wei qi. 37: 6 cun down; Lower he-sea of LI 38: 8 cun down; Frozen shoulder 39: 9 cun down; Lower he-sea of SI 40: level with St 38, but it is 2 fingerbreadths lateral to tibia instead of 1. Treats phlegm 41: Level with lateral malleolus; In between extensor digitorum and extensor hallicus longus tendons 42: Junction of 2nd and 3rd metatarsals and cuneiform bones; dorsum of foot, where you feel pedal pulse; Source point 44:In webbing of toes; big point to clear stomach heat; toothache 45:Usual revive consciousness. Divergent: -Enters: Stomach/Spleen/Heart ……………………Yang divergent channels on leg (ST, UB, GB) all enter their own organ, their paired yin organ, and heart. TMM: Begins at middle 3 toes….mostly follows ST primary pathway, but there is a branch that goes to spine
