California Administrative Code, Title 22, Division 9, Chapter 2 Effective: 11/15/83 TREATMENT A. ABCs – Assessment and treatment. Treat for shock. B. Remove from heat source (hot environment). C. Cool in any way possible. Using passive or active methods like: - Remove clothing - Fan - Water - Ice, if available D. Consider drug ingestion. E. If suspected heat stroke, cooling methods enroute.
