HOFFMAN ESTATES FIRE DEPARTMENT STANDARD OPERATING GUIDELINES SOG Category & Identification Number: EFFECTIVE DATE: RESPONSE GUIDELINES – 015 January 1, 2022 NIMS COMPLIANT SOG Title: Paramedic Service at High School Football Revision: Games 4 APPROVED BY: NUMBER OF PAGES: Re-evaluation Date: Alan Wax January 1, 2026 Fire Chief 1 PURPOSE The purpose of this guideline is to provide paramedic coverage, as requested by High School District 211, for High School Football Games. POLICY PROCEDURE A. The unit assigned will be in service during standby and will respond to calls as directed by Response Procedures. Personnel are to stay in close proximity to their apparatus and will be responsible for the security of their apparatus and its equipment. Equipment should arrive 15 minutes prior to game time and leave approximately two minutes prior to the end of the game. B. If an ALS incident occurs on the site, additional apparatus will respond according to previous Response Procedures. C. If an incident occurs that requires the response of the assigned unit away from the football game standby assignment, the unit will return to the game as soon as possible DEFINITIONS EXCEPTIONS REFERENCES End of Document 1
