MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 1 LEARNING OBJECTIVES ¡ List several planning processes and outputs for project quality management when using a predictive approach to project management ¡ Discuss the project quality management planning process, and explain the purpose and contents of a quality management plan and quality metrics ¡ Explain how agile/hybrid projects address quality management planning MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 2 PROJECT QUALITY MANAGEMENT TRADITIONAL APPROACH MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 3 THE IMPORTANCE OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT § Many people joke about the poor quality of IT products § People seem to accept systems being down occasionally or needing to reboot their PCs § But quality is very important in many IT projects MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 4 GM VS MICROSOFT JOKES § Gates: “If General Motors had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon.” § General Motors issued a press release stating: “If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics: § For no reason whatsoever your car would crash twice a day. § Every time they repainted the lines on the road, you would have to buy a new car. § Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, reliable, five times as fast, and twice as easy to drive, but would run on only five percent of the roads. § New seats would force everyone to have the same size hips. § The airbag system would say ‘Are you sure?’ before going off. § Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key, and grabbed hold of the radio antenna. MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 5 PROJECT QUALITY MANAGEMENT ¡ Project quality management ensures that the project will satisfy the stated or implied needs for which it was undertaken. ¡ Key outputs produced as part of project quality management planning include a quality management plan and quality metrics. ¡ The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) defines quality as “the degree to which a set of inherent characteristics fulfill requirements” (ISO9000:2000). ¡ Other experts define quality based on conformance to requirements and fitness for use. ¡ Conformance to requirements means that the project’s processes and products meet written specifications > - Qualitas Yang bija dithlis dalan spesifikasi. MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 7 PLANNING QUALITY MANAGEMENT ¡ Quality planning includes identifying which quality standards are relevant to the project and how best to satisfy those standards. ¡ It also involves designing quality into the products and services of the project as well as the processes involved in managing the project. ¡ It is important to describe important factors that directly contribute to meeting customer requirements. ¡ The project charter, project management plan, project documents, enterprise environmental factors, and organizational process assets are all important inputs to the quality planning process. ¡ The quality management plan describes how the project management team will implement quality policies. MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 8 SCOPE ASPECTS OF IT PROJECTS it is often difficult to completely understand the performance dimension of IT projects. Important scope aspects of IT projects that affect quality include: § Functionality is the degree to which a system performs its intended function Cth Sistem : digital KI scan bant pas § Features are the system’s special characteristics that appeal to users &R malah lemot. § System outputs are the screens and reports the system generates Artinyas copenya dept to , performance Kudg § Performance addresses how well a product or service performs the customer’s intended use. § Reliability is the ability of a product or service to perform as expected under normal conditions & § Maintainability addresses the ease of performing maintenance on a product oth = scan QR bija di Up apaaja , bisa down aja MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 9 EXAMPLE QUALITY MANAGEMENT PLAN MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 10 QUALITY METRICS > - Spt dashboard Ymengular project stop baik. ¡ A metric is a standard of measurement. Metrics allow organizations to measure their performance in certain areas and to compare them over time or with other organizations. ¡ Examples of common metrics used by organizations include failure rates of products produced, availability of goods and services, and customer satisfaction ratings. ¡ Before deciding on the metrics to use for a particular project, it is important to clarify the project goals, business case for the project, and success criteria. Knowing this information, you can then decide what data will give you the information you need, and how to collect it. ¡ Many organizations use charts to keep track of metrics, such as a project dashboards. QUALITY PLANNING FOR AGILE PROJECT - sudah direview - sudah ditesting ¡ A few specific ways agile teams ensure quality are by using the Definition of Done and creating information radiators or big visible charts. ¡ The Agile Alliance glossary (2021) defines Definition of Done as “a list of criteria which must be met before a product increment ‘often a user story’ is considered ‘done.’” If the work is not done, it can be continued in the next sprint. ¡ Agile teams also practice transparency by making their work progress visible to key stakeholders. One technique for doing this is using big visible charts (BVCs), which are also called information radiators. ¡ The Agile Alliance glossary (2021) defines an information radiator as “the generic term for any of a number of handwritten, drawn, printed or electronic displays which a team places in a highly visible location, so that all team members as well as passers-by can see the latest information at a glance.” MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 14 melihat & risikonya. stip besar performa devi project EXAMPLE OF INFORMATION RADIATORS MANAJEMEN PROYEK TI 2024/2025 – FASILKOM UI 15 CHAPTER SUMMARY ¡ Planning outputs related to quality management include a quality management plan and quality metrics. ¡ Managers of agile and hybrid projects also perform planning for quality management, but the emphasis is on individuals and interactions, working solutions, customer collaboration, and responding to change. ¡ Some specific agile approaches include using Definitions of Done and information radiators.
