CHAPTER F O U R DETERMINING ACTIVITY DURATIONS Once you plan your work, you must work your plan. some instances, an agency, whether public or private, will need to know the approximate cost of a project before spe- T he development and use of schedules relies heavily on activity durations. Without carefully assigning durations to the various activities, the value of the schedules will be greatly diminished.
