Hill is when the ground rises less than 300m long Map is a drawing that shows places and help us find our orientation and whatever place we want. What are topographic maps are maps that shows natural features of a land such as river, mountains, hills, towns and also streets. What are Relief maps Shows how high a part of a region, country, or a continent are. What is a stand alone mountain and write an example of stand alone mountain A stand alone mountain is a mountain that is free-standing without any mountain beside it. Etc… MT. Fujiyama in Japan, or mount Kenya in Africa. Explain what mountain ranges are and write an example of mountain range A mountain range is like when there is a group or a chain of mountains are together. They’re also arranged in a line. What are some of the features of The Andes mountains Lake Titicaca, and Atacama Desert Section 2 Rivers ( Down to the coast pgs 8-9 ) Explain these terms: Meander is An a S bend shape that is formed when the rivers widen on the river banks. Source is A source is the beginning of a river point. Rivers can start from a mountain. Floodplain is As the flooding and deposition is repeated over thousands of years it will form a flat area called floodplain. Estuary is When the salt water meets with the freshwater, and Estuary is also a tidal mouth of a larger river, where the tide meet the stream. Mouth is A mouth is when the river flows to a larger body of water such as an other river, lake, or an a ocean. Tributary is A river grows bigger as it flows to a river when its joined with other tiny streams that are called tributaries. Or a river/stream flowing into a larger river or lake. The population of Kenya is rapidly growing, putting pressure on cities like Nairobi. 9. Roads in Nairobi can be a major problem, with traffic jams and congestion common. 10. Poorly planned neighborhoods with inadequate housing are known as Shanty towns. Section 6 Read the paragraph and write do you agree or you disagree and why While exporting food can generate income for less developed countries, it can also have negative consequences. If a country exports too much food, it may not have enough to feed its own people. This can lead to food shortages and higher prices for local residents. Additionally, exporting food can encourage large-scale farming, which can harm the environment and displace small farmers. It's important to balance the economic benefits of food exports with the need to ensure food security for the country's population. I disagree with this paragraph because the less developed countries won’t have enough food to eat when they export food. Also, it can cause a food shortages it the country exports too much food other countries and the country that exported have a lot of people to feed. How would you protect sand dunes? What would you do to solve the problem of trampling to protect the beauty and wildlife of the area, while still allowing people to enjoy themselves?
