A good essay will have an introduction, at least two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. - What was life like for people living in the western United States in the mid-to-late nineteenth century? How did life differ for Native Americans and white settlers? - What issues did Black Americans face in the late 1800s and early 1900s? Give and describe three specific issues. - What were some of the major issues of the Progressive Era? Who were some of the major figures? - What were some of the causes of the Great Depression? What did Herbert Hoover do in response? What did Franklin D. Roosevelt do in response? What are some examples of New Deal policies? ID --- You will define five of these terms. A good ID will include who, what, where, when, and (most importantly) significance. They should be written in paragraph form. REMEMBER: You should look in your lecture notes AND in the textbook readings to study for these.
