Tolerance UNIT 6 LESSON 2 Learning objectives EXPLAIN THE CONCEPT OF TOLERANCE FIND EVIDENCE OF TOLERANCE IN SITUATIONS IN THE LIFE OF ALLAH`S MESSENGER(PBUH) AND HIS COMPANIONS SHOW ASPECTS OF TOLERANCE BETWEEN PEOPLE IN LIFE Take the initiative to learn Allah's Messenger, Peace be upon him, said: "May Allah's mercy be on him who is lenient in his buying, selling, and in demanding back his money" (NarTated by ibn Majah). The moral value which the Messenger, Peace be upon him, invites us to adhere to in the market. To be lenient in the market, tolerance at the time of purchase, sale and buy. the effect of adhering to the advice of the Messenger, Peace be upon him, on the economy of the state. Development and progress of the state, the cultural advancement of countries Concept of tolerance Islam urges Muslims to exercise tolerance of people in all spheres of life in order to found a cohesive, connected society. Although the Holy Qur'an does not spell out the word 'tolerance‘ specifically, it voices out related utterances and translates them in a desired Islamic reality. These utterances include: Allah, Glory be to Him, says: It is part of the Mercy of Allah that you do deal gently with them;had you been severe or harsh -hea rted, they would have broken away from about you... When asked about his morals, Sayyidah Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "He was not indecent, he was not obscene, he would not shout in the markets, and he would not respond to an evil deed with an evil deed, but rather he would pardon and overlook" (Narrated by at-Tirmidhi).
