You also considered presenting graphical data on the trends of worldwide initiatives on the use of solar energy. 1. Describe briefly how you can insert pictures or images in a Word document. 2. What other kinds of images or materials can be inserted in a Word document? KINDS OF MATERIALS Kinds of Materials 1. Pictures- electronic or digital visual representation of a person, object, or scene, as a painting, drawing or photograph you have saved in any local storage device. Shapes- printable objects or materials that you can integrate into your document to allow you to have some tools to use for composing and representing ideas or messages Kinds of Materials 4. Smart Art- predefined sets of different shapes grouped together to form ideas that are organizational or structural in nature Kinds of Materials 5.Chart- represents data characteristics and trends. Image Placements IMAGE PLACEMENTS 1. In line with text- treats your image like a text font with the bottom side totally aligned with the text line. IMAGE PLACEMENTS 2. Square- allows the image you inserted to be placed anywhere within the paragraph with the text going around the image in a square pattern like a frame. IMAGE PLACEMENTS 3. Tight - the text hugs or conforms to the general shape of the image. This can mostly be achieved if you are using an image that supports transparency. IMAGE PLACEMENTS 4. Through- allows the text in your document to flow even tighter, taking the contours and shape of the image. IMAGE PLACEMENTS 5. Top and Bottom- pushes the texts away vertically to the top and/or the bottom of the image so that the image occupies a whole text line on its own. IMAGE PLACEMENTS 6. Behind Text- allows your image to be placed anywhere on the document but with all the text floating in front of it. IMAGE PLACEMENTS 7. In Front of Text- allows your image to be placed right on top of the text as if your image was dropped right on it. insert tables tables Tables are useful in organizing information using rows and columns.
