It is a mixture of organic or synthetic substances called pigments, used as paint or dye. COLOR Color creates a mood or tone RED – passion, anger, love BLUE – peace, nobility, sadness YELLOW – cheerful, innocence, jealousy it also varies from dull to bright LVEUA It is the degree of lightness and darkness of a color VALUE In music it is called PITCH, which is the highness or lowness of a tone. XRTEETU The surface of an artwork. It can be actual or tactile; or it can be simulated or illusory. TEXTURE HORMYAN the principle of art that creates cohesiveness by stressing the similarities of separate but related parts HARMON Y The wholeness of the design, the pleasing arrangement of parts, and the agreement between parts of a composition, resulting in a united whole. YAVRIET Assortment or diversity of a work of art VARIETY when the elements of art (line, color, shape, form, etc.) are utilized to create a contrast. YTRHMH It is the regular, repeated pattern in the elements of art. RHYTHM It is a flow, or feeling of movement, achieved by the distribution of visual units in time. RPOPORTINO the principle of art that refers to relative size PROPORTIO N Proportion is largely about the relationship of the size of one element when compared to another. BENCALA refers to the overall distribution of visual weight in a composition BALANCE A well-balanced composition feels comfortable to look at. Pertains to the even distribution of weight.
