**Study Guide for Midterm 1** For each term listed, think back to the lectures, review your notes and the textbook, and fully review the term. For example, define it, understand its major components or parts, compare and contrast similar concepts, and understand its relevance to aging. For some terms, it's appropriate to ask: does it change with age, and if so, how? You will learn the materials more deeply if you apply the information to situations, for example, by generating examples of how the term could be used to understand age-related situations and behaviors "in the wild." This list is designed to provide some guidance as you review the materials we covered during this half of the quarter. *However, **this is not an exhaustive list** and it does not take the place of reviewing all of the materials from the first half of class.* This document is in Word format so you can easily add more terms, organize and reorganize terms, and create tasks to encourage learning and retention.
