You see, feel, hear, smell or taste things around. You are able to say the name of a thing because of its characteristics. For example, an apple is a red or green fruit with a sweet taste. Can you name the things you see or feel around you? Yes, there are a lot of things to mention like the trees or your father or the chickens or the wind. These things that you see or feel are real things. There are proofs to verify that these things exists using the sensory organs. Real things are defined as something that exists in real life. Things that that are pretended to be real are called make-believe. They are called make- believe because they do not actually exists. Sometimes people love to pretend they are somebody or something else, like pretending to be superheroes. This module is based on the competencies in MELC English 6 (First Quarter), identify real or make-believe, fact or non-fact images. The competency is sub-tasked into two lessons. Lesson 1: Identifying Real or Make-Believe Images Lesson 2: Identifying Fact or Non-fact Images As you go along with the activities, you are expected to: *identify real or make-believe images; *distinguish the difference between real and make-believe images; and *reflect on the importance of identifying real or make-believe images. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________ Subject to further validation for IP compliance, this material is for first quarter use only.
