He jumped into the car and drove in a careless way without even putting his seat belt , he was struggling between holding the coffee with one hand and using his phone in the other hand. Lucky, he arrived the Rig where it was the kind of day where the sea gleamed under the early sun, Saif is a seasoned technician with five years under his belt in ADNOC and another five years of experience in his previous company, known for his skill and confidence. He had a reputation for getting the job done quickly and efficiently, often boasting that he could perform his tasks in his sleep. But on this day, his confidence would become his downfall. ADNOC Classification: Internal | CASE STUDY CHAPTER 1: TRADITION Saif had been in the game long enough to know that the maintenance of a high-pressure valve wasn’t just routine—it was critical. He had performed the task countless times, enough to do it blindfolded, but today, he had other priorities. His manager assigned him to task, and he told hi, Saif you are a good performer this year and I really count on you for all the critical tasks. Saif hesitated for a moment. He was exhausted—more than he cared to admit. He didn’t sleep well, tossing and turning the night before, and the idea of tackling a valve that day felt like climbing a mountain. But the words “high performer” rang in his ears, and the pressure to maintain that reputation outweighed his physical fatigue. “Yeah, I’ve got this,” Saif replied, trying to inject some energy into his voice. He didn’t want to let his manager down. Ahmed had trusted him with important tasks before, and Saif took pride in his work. But today was different. His eyes were heavy, his body sluggish, and all he could think about was finishing up quickly so he could sit down with a coffee and maybe catch a short break.
