The devices were set up on the edge of a large open deck, which had no doorframes to span with the Halligan hooks. Instead, members of Rescue Company 1 fastened two 1/4-in shank x 2-in deep x 3/8-in diameter threaded powder-driven studs into the concrete deck using a.38 caliber powder-actuated fastener. We secured the monitor between them using either the device's chain, utility rope, or tubular nylon webbing.
