## Humidity Our atmosphere is a mixture of gases like oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapour. Humidity is the measure of the moisture present in the atmosphere. When the amount of water vapour is more in the atmosphere, we say that the humidity is high. For example, during the rainy season, the weather is very humid. We feel sticky. Even the clothes take a long time to dry during this weather. ## Seasons Seasons refer to the conditions of our surroundings during particular months of the year. There are four main seasons. They are - summer, winter, spring, and autumn. On an average, each season lasts for three months. ### Summer Summers are hot. We prefer to keep ourselves cool during summer. For example: - We wear light cotton clothes. Cotton clothes keep us cool. - We eat and drink cold things, like - ice-creams, juices, shakes and cold drinks. - We use fans, coolers and air-conditioners. - We like to go swimming. ### Winter Winters are cold. At some places, it also snows in this season. We like to keep ourselves warm in this season. For example: - We wear woollen clothes to keep ourselves warm. Woollen clothes are made of wool. They trap the heat of our body and keep us warm. - We like to drink hot food items like soup, coffee, milk and tea. - We use heaters or bonfires to keep warm. ### Spring Springs are very pleasant. It is neither hot nor cold. In this season, flowers bloom everywhere making it a very beautiful sight. ### Autumn This season is marked by changing colour of leaves. The leaves change colour and fall off from plants. Hence, this season is also known as the "fall".
