B S N Sree Rama Murthy, B.Arch. COA Reg. No: CA/2006/38586 Town & Urban Planning, Architecture & Interior Designing Date: 20th Nov, 2024 TO, SHRI KONIDALA PAWAN KALYAN GARU, DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER, MINISTRY OF PANCHAYAT RAJ, MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT & RURAL WATER SUPPLY, MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, AP SECRETARIAT, AMARAVATI – 522503 ANDHRA PRADESH. Subject: Absence of drainage system in the kalidindi village and laying of CC roads on existing CC roads thus increasing road levels, which is causing water stagnation in the village houses and surroundings. Dear Sir, I am B.S.N. Sree Rama Murthy, a.k.a. Shriram Bonagiri an Architect by profession and resident of kalidindi village. This is to bring to your kind attention regarding the problems kalidindi village people are facing because of the absence of the wholistic drainage system. 1) There is no wholistic drainage system in the kalidindi village. Few parts in the kalidindi center R&B road have broken drainage system which is largely dumped with garbage. 2) Due to this, water stagnation is happening frequently in many places on main R&B road of the village, internal CC roads and in interior areas of the village, particularly during monsoon. 3) New Constructions in the village and roads are constructed at elevated levels in the village to be safe from water stagnation, and are also constructed at elevated levels than the neighboring buildings, even though such requirement of increase of plinth level is not necessary. 4) Because of absence of drainage system and increase of road levels, the existing govt. buildings, village infrastructure, existing houses & buildings and empty areas are become lowline areas (sometimes lower than the formation road) attracting water into the existing houses and flooding during rains. 5) This is further reducing the life of buildings and roads, forcing to lay roads and infrastructure every 10 to 20 years. 6) The matter is brought to Kalidindi Panchayat and District Collector while constructing two CC roads referred in the village as Peta kalidindi road & Water tank road, that they are being laid on existing CC road and is laid with increasing road levels than necessary. 7) The officials DISTRICT collector ordered are delaying their inspection, and the roads are being executed with many technical incompetencies and increasing road levels causing environmental issues in micro village environment. 8-109, Main Road, Kalidindi, Eluru Dist, A.P, INDIA – 521 344. But, the Local AE, Panchayat EO and Panchayat President are not understanding the impending problems and effects other areas are facing due to this. 10) Even when DEE, Mandavalli instructed to stop such construction of the roads, and have given the same in writing, the said roads are being executed without heeding the systems protocol disrespecting the official’s instructions. Through this letter, I request you to kindly look in into the matter to take necessary actions to stop the current execution the Peta kalidindi road and Water tank road. Necessary inspection in terms of planning & execution, and a study of the impact of such road construction shall be studied and the roads shall be executed with necessary measures and drainage system wholistically. A proper comprehensive rural planning can be done for road network, drainage network, govt assets, water supply system and other infrastructure can be developed to execute the infrastructure in tandem with each other according to the availability of the funds and resources. Thanking you & assuring you of the best – always! Ar. B S N S R Murthy C.A, no. - 2006/38586 8-109, Main Road, Kalidindi, Eluru Dist, A.P, INDIA – 521 344. Mob: 91-8801458428.
