Kelly Days, Holidays, Vacation & Leave Selection Procedure
- Selection of Kelly days, holidays, and vacation days is based on seniority, from most senior to least senior.
- The calendar will go through seniority three times, once for each type of day off.
- Days off will be selected in the following order: 1st – Kelly Days, 2nd – Holidays, 3rd – Vacation Days.
Calendar Process
- Battalion Chiefs will start the calendar no later than October 1st.
- The calendar will be completed with all selections made (Kelly days, Holidays, and Vacation days) no later than December 31st.
- Personnel on extended leave will be contacted at home to make their selections, which may include vacation if contact can be made.
Selection Process
- Battalion Chiefs will maintain the selection process through PACE.
- Changes or new selections throughout the year must be requested through PACE.
- Approval or denial of requests will be made through PACE by Battalion Chiefs.
