Abdominal Quadrants
- Right Upper Quadrant (RUQ): Contains liver (right lobe), gallbladder, part of pancreas, part of small and large intestines.
- Left Upper Quadrant (LUQ): Houses liver (left lobe), stomach, spleen, part of pancreas, part of small and large intestines.
- Right Lower Quadrant (RLQ): Includes part of small and large intestines, right ovary, right fallopian tube, appendix, and right ureter.
- Left Lower Quadrant (LLQ): Comprises part of small and large intestines, left ovary, left fallopian tube, and left ureter.
Abdominal Regions
- Hypochondriac Regions: Two upper regions below rib cartilage, located on the right and left sides of the abdomen.
- Epigastric Region: Area located above the stomach.
- Lumbar Regions: Two middle regions near the waist, positioned on the right and left sides.
- Umbilical Region: Central area containing the navel or umbilicus.
- Inguinal Regions: Two lower regions adjacent to the groin, on the right and left sides.
