    • Packing of Parcels: All parcels should be securely packed using appropriate materials in compliance with the prescribed regulations based on specific commodity types.
    • Examination of Parcels: Careful examination of parcels is essential. This includes verifying the packing conditions, the contents of parcels and handling, addressing and marking.

    Charging and Weighment

    • Charges: Charges for parcel traffic are in accordance with the I.R.C.A. Coaching Tariff or specific rail road coding.
    • Weighment: Parcels must be weighed using a proper scale or a weighbridge; if a weighing machine is not available, sender declared weights will be used as a basis.

    Way-Bills, Cash Books, etc

    • Different Way-Bills: Different way-bills are used for different booking types. "Paid" and "To-Pay" waybills differ in paper color.
