- Each uterine tube is divided into four parts:

Interstitial or intramural segment:
- Passes through the myometrium
- Connects with the uterine cavity by the uterine opening of the uterine tube

Isthmus:
- Almost straight segment
- Narrowest segment
- Immediately lateral to uterus
- As its name suggests

- Widest and longest section
- Most established location of fertilization

Infundibulum:
- Most lateral segment
- Funnel-shaped segment
- Finger-like projection called fimbriae
- Attaches to the peritoneal cavity and the tubal lumen

- Paired in the peritoneal cavity
- Anterior borders are attached to the infundibulum of the fallopian tube
- Measures about 3cm x 2cm x 2cm
- Supported by different ligaments
