Preliminary Team Delegation Roster Submission
- National Member Federations must submit mandatory player data in the FIBA Information System within the deadline
- Required documents to upload:
- Colour copy of birth certificate
- Colour copy of passport
- One colour passport-size photograph (no more than 3 months old)
- Other information/documentation required by FIBA
Calculating Age Limit for Competitions
- Procedure to calculate age limit for age category competitions:
- Subtract the age limit from the year of competition (starting from January 1)
- Example for U19 competition in 2025:
- 2025 - 19 = 2006
- Players born on or after January 1, 2006, are eligible to participate in U19 competitions in 2025
FIBA Information System Requirements
- National Member Federations must enter all mandatory player data into the FIBA Information System.
Required Documents
- A colour copy of the birth certificate must be uploaded.
- A colour copy of the passport must be uploaded.
- A colour passport-size photograph, taken within the last 3 months, must be uploaded.

Age Limit Calculation

Registration of Coaches
- National Member Federations must register all head coaches and assistant coaches in the FIBA Information System.
- Coaches must be members of the World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC).
- To register as a WABC member, coaches must comply with the procedure outlined in Chapter 4 (Coaches) of Book 3 of the Internal Regulations.

National Member Federation Responsibility

Eligibility Inquiry
- FIBA initiates an inquiry upon discovery of a player or team delegation member participating in a Competition without being eligible.
- The inquiry aims to establish the person's eligibility and possible disciplinary consequences according to the FIBA Internal Regulations.
Costs and Consequences
- National Member Federations bear the administrative costs of the inquiry.
- National Member Federations may be subject to disciplinary consequences in accordance with Book 1, Chapter 6 (Sanctions) of the Internal Regulations.
Exceptional Cases
- The Secretary General may authorize a player to play under their previous status before the irregularity was discovered in exceptional cases.
Verification Before Competitions
- Team Delegation members must undergo identity (and age, where applicable) verification before a competition, under the supervision of the Commissioner or Technical Delegate.
Verification Process
- The Commissioner or Technical Delegate verifies the currently valid individual passport and FIBA Preliminary/Final Team Delegation Roster.
- After verification, the Commissioner or Technical Delegate returns the documents to the head of the team delegation.
Applicability of Provisions
- FIBA may apply the provisions of this Chapter to other Official Basketball Competitions, including tournaments or games held prior to a Competition of FIBA.
- In club competitions, references to National Member Federation are understood to refer to a club.
Pre-Competition Verification
- Team Delegation members undergo identity verification before a competition begins.
- Age verification is also required for competitions where age is applicable.
- The Commissioner or Technical Delegate supervises the verification process for each competition.
