    Chapter XIV: Digital Multiplexing Equipment

    • Digital multiplexing equipment currently uses Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), specifically STM-1, STM-4, and STM-16.

    • Transmission media includes symmetric cable pairs, HDSL, star quad cable in electrified areas, and optical fiber.
