Level 3 Necessary Service Requests

  • Level 3 requests are non-emergency work requests that can be scheduled and are responded to within five days with a projected completion date within 30 days.
  • Examples of Level 3 requests include repairs to:
    • Drywall and ceiling tiles
    • Windows
    • Flooring (non-health and safety)
    • Lighting
    • Minor plumbing
    • Windows
    • Doors

Submitting a Non-Emergency Necessary Service Level 3 Request

  • Requests must be submitted through the chain of command in the division where the workplace is administered.
  • The process involves:
    • Supervisor submitting the request, which is reviewed by the District Chief.
    • If approved, the request is sent to the Platoon Chief/Division Chief for review.
    • If approved, the Platoon Chief/Division Chief checks for similar or repetitive requests on file and submits the request to the Manager, Facilities & Materials Mgmt.
    • The Manager, Facilities & Materials Mgmt. submits the request to FRED if in scope, and updates the submitting Platoon Chief/Division Chief with the work order number.
