Ambassador Camp Counseling Staff
- Issues will arise during the week, and staff should handle them in a Christ-like and God-glorifying way.
- The "Chain of Command" is in place to guide staff on whom to talk to and how to resolve issues.
AC Chain of Command
- The Chain of Command consists of: • AC Board of Directors • Aunt Sara Bailey • Aunt Amy, Aunt Faith, and Aunt Christina • Head Counselor • Sr. Counselor • Counselor • TIC (Counselor in Training)
- Report issues to the person directly above you in the Chain of Command.
Counselor Levels
- Counselor levels are not determined by length of time in the cabin or age.
- Head Counselor: • Leader of boys and girls cabins • Reports to the director • Leads devotions and one-on-ones with campers • Leads counselor meetings and training as needed • Allowed to administer discipline when necessary
- Senior Counselor: • Most experienced counselors who have graduated and spent significant time in the cabins • Expected to lead devotions, do one-on-ones with campers, and administer discipline when necessary • Leaders in the cabins
- Counselor: • Have spent significant time in the cabins • Help with devotions and one-on-ones with campers • Not allowed to administer discipline
- TIC (Counselor in Training): • Two main jobs: learn how to be a future counselor and hang out with campers • Shadow a senior counselor and observe processes • Not allowed to: discipline campers, lead salvation talks/one-on-ones, administer major medication, or lead PM devotions • Will be called in by senior counselor to observe and participate in these tasks when possible
