Incident Reporting
- Incident Reports document the initial reporting of an incident, crime, etc., occurring in BSO's jurisdiction.
- The report will be used to supplement another jurisdiction's police report.

Reporting and Submission
- Incomplete or inaccurate reports will be returned to reporting deputies for corrections.
- Deputies will make needed corrections and resubmit their reports before going off duty.
- Shift supervisors may use discretion in allowing deputies to submit reports the next day.
- Incident Reports associated with arrests will be sent to the State Attorney within 5 days.
- Related documents/media will be submitted to the Records Division with a transmittal log.

- Operational plans are based on accurate and timely crime analysis.
- Plans should be targeted and specific, identifying crimes, locations, and personnel deployment.
- Zone reports capture data from crime analysis, operational plans, community concerns, and enforcement activity.
