Introduction to Dentistry Course Introduction and Orientation Dr Hanadi Saud Lingawi (MSc Dent Rad, Mclin Dent Paeds, PhD)  Course General Description The “Introduction to Dentistry” course is one of the required courses in the dental program to achieve a bachelor degree in dental surgery “BDS”. It is a one semester course that is designed to introduce 2nd year dental students to dental profession through providing an insight to dental terminologies, basic principles and dental care procedures provided by the various dental specialties. It is based on two main teaching methods; lectures and group discussions. What are the Course Objectives? To provide the 2nd year dental students with a multifaceted , unique introduction to the field of dentistry.
