ØHolocrine glands that produce sebum onto the epidermal surface: Composition: triglycerides, cholesterol, proteins and salts. ØSweat contains water, salts, uric acid, urea, ammonia. ØPresent through all body surfaces, except lips, auditory conduct, glans. ØSecrete oily substances containing lipids, proteins, and steroids. Secretion starts in puberty. ØFound in armpit, groin, breast areola, pigmented skin around the anus, bearded regions in male face.
