It's a verbal form of communication where you communicate your thoughts, present ideas and share information. Effective communication is the process of exchanging ideas, thoughts, opinions, knowledge, and data so that the message is received and understood with clarity and purpose. When we communicate effectively, both the sender and receiver feel satisfied. Communication occurs in many forms, including verbal and non-verbal, written, visual, and listening. It can occur in person, on the internet (on forums, social media, and websites), over the phone (through apps, calls, and video), or by mail. How can we make our communication effective? The flow of information is controlled and needs deliberate effort to be properly communicated. Formal communication follows a hierarchical structure and chain of command. Informal communication is any type of communication that doesn't take place using the formal methods or structures in a company. Unlike a one-to-one or intercompany meeting, informal communication covers the chats, notes and asides we share with one another outside of these formal settings.
