UNDERSTANDING CULTURE, SOCIETY, AND POLITICS PERFORMANCE TASKS (QUARTER 1) – 50% Prepared by: JEAN G. MALINAO, LPT – Subject Teacher The aim of learning concepts from Anthropology, Sociology and Political Science is to demonstrate holistic understanding about culture, society, and politics. Your creativity will help you in promoting the rationale or goal of these tasks. 1. Cultural Festival! – 50 points Deadline – September 09, 2024 1.Research about a specific culture from your community or province that you are proud of. It can be tradition, food, clothing, place, etc. You could also ask from members of your household about this. 2.You can cut out pictures from old magazines or newspapers, or search for images from the web for your brochure or pamphlet or you can draw it. 3.The size of your brochure should be 8.5”x11” (letter size) and folded into three columns. 4.You can also use your skills and knowledge in Microsoft Word or Publisher to create a brochure or pamphlet that will promote your heritage, culture, and tradition in your respective community or province. 5.You can use colored paper, folder, bond papers or any design or decoration that can elicit your creativity in making your brochure. Brochure Making Rubric (50 Points Total) 1. Content (15 Points) Accuracy and Relevance (7 Points) 7 points: Information is accurate, relevant, and well-researched. 5-6 points: Information is mostly accurate with minor errors or omissions. 3-4 points: Some information is inaccurate or irrelevant. 1-2 points: Information is largely inaccurate or irrelevant. Depth of Information (8 Points) 8 points: Provides comprehensive coverage of the topic with detailed explanations. 6-7 points: Covers the topic well with some detail. 4-5 points: Provides basic information with limited detail. 1-3 points: Information is superficial or lacking. 2. Organization and Structure (10 Points) Logical Flow (5 Points) 5 points: Information is logically organized with a clear flow from one section to the next. 4 points: Information is mostly organized but may have minor issues with flow. 2-3 points: Organization is inconsistent, affecting the flow. 1 point: Information is disorganized and difficult to follow. Sections and Headings (5 Points): 5 points: Sections are clearly defined with appropriate headings and subheadings. 4 points: Sections are defined but some headings could be more descriptive. 2-3 points: Sections are somewhat unclear or headings are not very descriptive. 1 point: Sections are poorly defined with confusing or missing headings.
