CP-08 DHAKA MASS RAPID TRANSIT LINE 6 MODULE: TRM-12 TRAIN CMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT 6) Maintenance 6.1) Scheduled Maintenance The PA/PIS system need to be conducted the scheduled maintenance. Refer to Table-6 for the detail of maintenance interval. There are no consumable parts that need to be replaced regularly. Table-6 (1): Scheduled Maintenance item Table-6 (2): Scheduled Maintenance item 6.2) Heavy Maintenance The PA/PIS system does not have equipment subject to Heavy Maintenance. 6.3) Corrective Maintenance The equipment of PA/PIS system is subject to Corrective Maintenance. The maintenance method is to replace the fault device and send to TOA Engineering Corporation for repair. Refer to PowerPoint slide #17 to #19. Rev.- TRM-12-3-7 02/OCT/2020 R.M. TRAINING MANUAL CONTRACT NO. CP-08 DHAKA MASS RAPID TRANSIT LINE 6 MODULE: TRM-12 TRAIN CMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT 7) How to check fault device for corrective maintenance The method for finding faulty device is mainly “Visual check”, “Test function from TIS, and “Using Portable Test Unit”. 7.1.1) Visual check Regarding Handheld Microphone, Cab speaker, PA speaker and Outside speaker, Maintenance person will visually and audibly check to find faulty device every one month. Regarding EDI, NI, SDI, LSD and DRM. Maintenance person will do this check to find faulty device every one month. 7.1.2) Check by Test function from TIS Regarding equipment of PA/PIS system except Handheld Microphone, Cab speaker, PA speaker and Outside speaker, Maintenance person will check by test function to find faulty device. This test function can be activated from the TIS screen. The test result will be displayed on TIS screen after test completed. Maintenance person will do this check to find faulty device every one month. For the detail, refer to Running Maintenance Manual Chapter 13, Section 3. 7.1.3) Check by Portable Test Unit (PTU) Maintenance person can check equipment health status by PTU while the TIS is not working, And, Maintenance person can another maintenance work like as software update etc by PTU. Regarding devices listed in Table-7, the fault information can be confirmed using PTU. This check need not be performed on a regular basis. The maintenance PC installed PTU application will connect to AVAU via USP port by Ethernet Cable. PTU application has functions of status acquisition, software update, CF card information update, log acquisition etc. Figure-3: Connection between PC and AVAU via USP Note: TOAE recommended the straight LAN cable for the connection between PC and USP Port. Refer to PowerPoint slide #23. 8.1) Maintenance PC The maintenance PC on which the PTU is installed must have following performance or better. The health status is automatically displayed on the PC screen as follows, The result will be displayed as “OK or Version No.” or “Fail”, “Checking“ and “N/A”. The OK or Version No. will be indicated by blue font, the “Fault” will be indicated by red font. The “Checking” will be indicated by black font, and the “N/A” will be indicated by gray font. When “OK” or “Version No.” is indicated, the equipment in normal condition. To save the latest version firmware to the suitable location in Maintenance PC. (To see Note) 2. To click “FIRMWARE” tab. 3. To select equipment name and location. 4. CP-08 DHAKA MASS RAPID TRANSIT LINE 6 MODULE: TRM-12 TRAIN CMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT 9) ID Setting & Adjustment When replacing devices in Corrective Maintenance, AVAU, MC and PAU need to be set and adjusted. Note: AVAU, EDI, NI and SDI also need individual ID, but since it is set by the wiring on train side, it is not necessary to set ID by equipment side when replacing those equipment. Refer to PowerPoint slide #51. 9.1) VAU 9.1.1) The point of setting and adjusting Figure-17: The point of setting & adjusting of AVAU 9.1.2) Volume adjustment 1) Prerecorded Announcement Adjustment Volume The volume of pre-recorded announcement (Station announcement, Special message and Emergency message etc.) can be adjusted by this volume controller. 2) OCC PA Announcement adjustment volume The volume of OCC PA announcement can be adjusted by this volume controller. CP-08 DHAKA MASS RAPID TRANSIT LINE 6 MODULE: TRM-12 TRAIN CMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT 9.1.3) ID setting The ID of AVAU is defined by the jumper setting of CN2 connecter. Note: AVAU need individual ID, but since it is set by the wiring on train side, it is not necessary to set ID by equipment side when replacing those equipment. How to check fault device for corrective maintenance The method for finding faulty device is mainly “Visual check”, “Test function from TIS, and “Using Portable Test Unit”. 7.1.1 Visual check Regarding Handheld Microphone, Cab speaker, PA speaker and Outside speaker, Maintenance person will visually and audibly check to find faulty device every one month. Regarding EDI, NI, SDI, LSD and DRM. Maintenance person will do this check to find faulty device every one month. 7.1.2 Check by Test function from TIS Regarding equipment of PA/PIS system except Handheld Microphone, Cab speaker, PA speaker and Outside speaker, Maintenance person will check by test function to find faulty device. This test function can be activated from the TIS screen. The test result will be displayed on TIS screen after test completed. Maintenance person will do this check to find faulty device every one month.
