Day 2 -- Sequence events in a story by putting sentences in the correct order. ***Materials:*** textbooks, worksheets, sentence strips, passage from text ***Content:** Sequencing* *Sequencing means to put things in the correct order.* ***Day 1 -*** Sequence events in a story by putting pictures in the correct order. ***Introduction/Motivation:*** - Teacher presents story from text. Students bk pg23-24. - Pupils observe the picture and suggest what the story is about. - Teacher reads story for students while they answer questions a throughout the story, ***Development/Information/Practice:*** ***Step 1-*** Teacher presents comprehension questions from text focusing on the beginning, middle and end of the story. ***Step 2***- Pupils answer questions orally. ***Step 3***- Teacher and students discuss sequencing events in a story and how these events are placed in the correct order. ***Conclusion/Application:*** - Teacher calls on pupils to summarize the story in their own words. - Teacher review lesson ***Evaluation/Assessment:*** - ***Put pictures in the correct order to tell the story.*** ![rat carrying bananas. Write pupils information on the board and discuss ***Step 2***- Present a few sentence strips on the board involving events on preparing for school and allow pupils to read them. ***Step 3***- Teacher call on a few students to come up to the board and sequencing these events in the correct order. ***Conclusion/Application:*** - Teacher and pupils read out the sequenced events to know if they are in the correct order.
