The New Testament clearly demonstrates how we ought to live our lives, following the example of Jesus Christ The Bible is read in a contextual way. What does this mean? This means that we do not read one sentence and use it to prove something. We read the Bible and learn about the culture, the symbols, and the CONTEXT in which it was written. List and briefly describe the 4 ways a book was accepted into the New Testament Canon. (Hint: LUCA) 1) Liturgical Use - Books that were used by the early Christians gathering to remember Jesus in their worship 2) Universal Acceptance - Writing that is recognized by all Christian communities in the Mediterranean region by the end of the fourth century. 3) Consistent Message - Books that consistently sent the same theological messages about Jesus as a human and the divine presence of Christ. 4) Apostolic Origin - Writing that was from the first-generation apostles or those closest to them is known as Apostolic Origin List and describe the 4 parts (divisions) of the New Testament Canon.
