This should be done consistent with material presented in the book and lectures. Review the symbolism for major kinds of research designs. Be able to identify them and understand their major weaknesses and strengths. Be prepared to name some of the more commonly used designs and to discuss their strengths and weaknesses in detail. Be prepared to write a short essay describing and defending a research design that would be appropriate for a hypothesis that will be given to you.
