- Diversas complejidades formales. Cuanto más complejidad funcional, más coste. - Paredes finas. - Elevado coste maquinaria (elevada producción), tiempos fabricación. ### USOS: - Mobiliario, envases, juguetes, carcasas,... ### ACABADO SUPERFICIAL: - Depende paredes molde. - Considerar líneas contacto molde. ### TOLERANCIAS: +- 0,1 mm ## MOLDEO POR - Image depicting pellets being injected into a mold via a screw and the process of injection molding - The image shows the plastic pellets being heated and pushed through a screw to create a liquid plastic. - The liquid plastic is then injected into a mold. - After cooling, the mold is opened and the plastic part is ejected. ### USOS: - Mobiliario. - Componentes vehículos (motor, cilindros, turbinas). - Formas complejas ### ACABADO SUPERFICIAL: - Bueno. Dependerá modelo. - ### TOLERANCIAS - Altas. ## MOLDEO CON - Combination of different materials in a single manufacturing process. - Increases the strength of a plastic object. - Inserts are placed in the mold before injection. - Large volumes +10,000 ud. - Economical - Considerations for injection molding. - Cost reduction through assembly. - Good understanding of material properties and how they work together. ### USOS: - Toothbrushes, screwdrivers, razors, housings. ### ACABADO SUPERFICIAL: - Can be customized and final. ## TOLERANCIAS +- 0,1 mm ## MOLDEO CON ## METALES. De moldeado por inyección de metal - Eurobalt Ingeniería - Variation of plastic injection - Used for complex shapes with metals that melt at very high temperatures (steel). ### USOS: - Pieces that are dimensionally very small and complex. - Surgical instruments, dental prostheses, electronic components, etc. ### ACABADO SUPERFICIAL: ## MOLDEO POR INYECCIÓN DE METALES ## TOLERANCIAS - Excellent. - 0,10 mm ## MOLDEO POR INYECCIÓN DE METALES ## METAL - Model made of wax that is immersed in liquid mud creating a ceramic casing. - After the wax is melted, liquid metal is poured into the casing. - The ceramic casing is then removed to leave a metal product. - Wax model is reproduced in an aluminum mold. - Complex shapes. Slow process. ### USOS: - A variety. Sculptures, ornaments, jewelry, medical instruments, etc. ### ACABADO SUPERFICIAL: - Good. Will depend on the model. ### TOLERANCIAS - High ## FUNDICIÓN A LA CERA - Metal is melted for use in this design process. - The model is placed in a sand mold and filled with the molten metal. - The metal is cooled, forming a solid copy of the model. - The sand is removed from the metal piece. ### USOS: - Furniture - Vehicle components (engines, cylinders, turbines) - Complex shapes ### ACABADO SUPERFICIAL: - The surface of the metal can be rough, and will require post processing before being used in an actual product. - ### TOLERANCIAS - The metal will shrink as it cools. This change in size can be a factor in the design of the product. - No more than 2.5% ## FUNDICIÓN EN - The mold is closed, leaving a cavity where the metal is molded. - After the metal cools, the mold is opened and the piece is removed. - The metal is poured into openings called channels. ### USOS: - Furniture. - Vehicle components (engine, cylinders, turbines) - Complex shapes ### ACABADO SUPERFICIAL: - The surface of the metal can be rough, and will require post processing before being used in an actual product. - ### TOLERANCIAS - Material contraction does not exceed 2.5 percent. ## FUNDICIÓN EN ## Exprimidor ## VIDRIO - Glass that has been heated to a high temperature is pressed onto a mold. - The glass cools and the mold is removed to reveal the product. ## USOS: - A variety. Traffic signs, public lighting, advertising, and signage lights, laboratory materials. ### ACABADO SUPERFICIAL: - Good. ### TOLERANCIAS - Material contraction that is no more than -1mm. ## PRENSADO DEL
