Text book Power Generation Plants Gas Turbines Steam Turbines Combined Cycles Nuclear Hydro PV Wind CSP Power transmission:- Most of the time, Due to the power plants being far away from load centers, the generated power needs to be transported for a long distance to the load centers. The transportation of this electrical power is done by the transmission system. This transmission system consisted of :- ✓ High voltage substations (HV) - Step up substation (11/220 kV or 24/400 kV) - Step down substation (220/30 or 220/66 kV or 400/220 kV) ✓ Transmission (EHV , 400 kV and above , HV , below 400 kV) Subtransmission System (for Libyan network 30 & 66 kV) Distribution System (for Libyan network 11 kV & 380 V)
